On August 4th, 2020, a magnitude 4.6 earthquake occurred near Seattle. The epicenter was located about 10 miles south of Bellevue and was felt throughout the region. There were no reports of damage from this quake.
Though none of these earthquakes resulted in any serious damage, they serve as a reminder of the potential for a major earthquake in the Seattle area.
